As the Controller, your tasks will include planning and directing all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assessing accounting and internal control systems, and guiding departmental staff. This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the Tacoma, Washington region.Key responsibilities- Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports- Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation- Complete tasks beyond formal job responsibilities- Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts- Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team- Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash
